Jurassic World; review: The park reopens

Posted on by Invigaming

"Jurassic World" debuted at No. 1 for movies when needed from Oct. 19 to Oct. 25, 2015, as outlined by Rentrak. Steven Spielberg returns to executive produce this long-awaited next installment of his groundbreaking "Jurassic Park" dinosaur series. Colin Trevorrow directs the epic action-adventure depending on characters produced by Michael Crichton. Chris Pratt, Bryce Dallas Howard and Vincent D'Onfrio are among the cast members. "Jurassic World" got mostly positive reviews and would be a blockbuster on the box office.

Universal Pictures and Legendary Pictures shared a $150 million investment in Jurassic World, so with these having made that back and then some (in one weekend), it's pretty sure the movie's financial success is currently, as Julianne Moore's character said in the second film inside franchise, "academic".

Jurassic World; review: The park reopens

As scary as this new dinosaur species is, the plot is not hard and predictable, just like the characters. The film's protagonists are Owen (Chris Pratt) and Claire (Bryce Dallas Howard). Owen is often a former Navy man turned trainer who's just gotten the raptors to obey commends. He loves the animals and does not approve of just what the higher-ups at the park are doing. Claire will be the uptight park manager who undergoes a difference and loosens up towards the end from the film. For added drama, her two young nephews, Gray (Ty Simpkins) and Zach (Nick Robinson) are visiting the park in the time everything goes haywire (this, needless to say, as a throwback on the two children present through the events of 'Jurassic Park'). There's also Hoskins (Vincent D'Onofrio), the guy trying to profit off Indominus Rex's escape who believes the trained raptors might be used as a military weapon. His storyline which of Dr. Henry Wu (BD Wong), the scientist who engineered Indominus Rex, are left hanging a lttle bit (unless it's planned for all those that to be addressed in the future sequel), while other storylines, that way of Gray and Zach's parents' impending divorce, are completely and utterly pointless. The actors do deserve credit though for taking these cardboard characters and running with them. Pratt is fun to look at, although he doesn't get as numerous snarky lines as you'd think, while Howard manages to not go overboard exaggerating the rigid Claire. But the oh-so-vital emotional connection towards the characters seriously isn't there.
